What does exocad design outsourcing cost in 2026?

The price is for each tooth designed, not for an entire submitted case. You also need to know how many teeth will be designed, which files you will receive and when the design clock starts. Confirm those details before work begins.

Our per-tooth rates

Euro Dental Design charges €8 per designed tooth for 1–300 designed teeth in a month and €7 per designed tooth from 301 monthly teeth. The same tiers apply to crowns, bridges, implants and full-arch indications. There is no separate case fee, setup fee, subscription or monthly minimum. Revisions are included until you approve the design.

For a simple case example, five designed teeth cost €40 at €8 each before free CAD elements are applied. If both of your two free CAD elements (teeth) are still available and used on that case, the other three cost €24. Eighty designed teeth in a month cost €640 at the €8 rate before free elements, or €624 if both are applied that month. The pricing calculator shows other volumes. How is a full-arch case counted?

A full-arch project is not a flat €8 case. The price is the number of teeth we design multiplied by the applicable €8 or €7 per-tooth rate. A bar, framework or provisional has no separate CAD charge. We confirm the designed tooth count and total with you before starting, and your team approves the scope.

What to compare in a CAD quote

When comparing providers, ask for the complete scope in writing:

• How many teeth will be designed, and what is the total at the per-tooth rate?
• Are revisions included, and who approves the final design?
• Will you receive an editable exocad project, STL exports, or both?
• When does the turnaround period begin, and are urgent cases available?
• Are there setup charges, minimum volumes or separate charges for extra stages?

Those answers are more useful than an unsupported market-wide “average price.” A lower or higher rate alone does not establish file quality, turnaround or how well a design fits your production workflow.

Compare with an in-house designer

An in-house designer’s cost depends on your own salary, employer charges, software, workstation, training and paid time away. Divide that annual cost by the units actually completed and approved, not by a theoretical maximum number of working days.
